Rick Rubin Leads PacRim Engineering Expansion in San Diego

SANTA ANA, CA – February 10, 2017.

PacRim Engineering, Inc., a provider of diversified engineering consulting services, is pleased to announce that Rick Rubin, P.E., AICP, has joined the firm as a Principal. Mr. Rubin will be responsible for spearheading the opening and growth of our new San Diego office, as well as offering his expertise to other current clients and projects. His primary focus will be to assure client success in the San Diego Region, including federal clients.

Rick joins PacRim with a 40 year professional career in the San Diego area serving municipalities, state government, educational institutions, private developers and the U.S. Navy, among others. His expertise includes different infrastructure project delivery methods, including an extensive background in design-build. He is known and respected in the industry for being a creative problem solver for clients, as well as for his leadership in the profession.

Some of the leadership roles Mr. Rubin has taken on in the engineering profession include: Past President ACEC of California, San Diego; Past President SAME San Diego; Regional Vice President, California SAME; Chair, Education & Mentoring Trust SAME San Diego; San Diego State University Veterans Advisory Council Member; chairperson for numerous committees with ACEC, SAME and Chambers of Commerce. Mr. Rubin has been a sought out facilitator, moderator and guest speaker, including an engagement for the NAVFAC Southwest workforce as part of National Engineer’s Week. He is the recipient of numerous awards from industry, most recently from the San Diego North County Chamber for Lifetime Achievement.

Rick earned his B.S., Civil Engineering from San Diego State University, and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE), American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
