Railroad Engineering

Rail transportation has become increasingly important as a mode of transportation in the western United States and nationwide because of the substantial growth in population and gross national product. Rail transportation is often considered more effective to handle increased transportation demands with low power requirements, a low land use, little air pollution and few accidents.
