LONG BEACH, CA – June 4, 2015 PacRim Engineering (PacRim) is pleased to announce that the firm has been awarded a significant contract by the Port of Long Beach (POLB) to provide On-Call Professional Civil Engineering Services for the next three years, valued $1.5 million. POLB is three years into a 10-year, $4.5-billion capital program, that includes, street, rail, dredge, water, sewer, and storm drain improvements. PacRim anticipates to support POLB in various civil engineering tasks including project management, planning; feasibility studies; permit applications; grant funding applications; plan check services; peer review; field investigations; condition assessment; engineering advice; specification writing; preliminary engineering services; calculations and analysis; construction designs and plans, construction estimates; project schedules; quality control; bid phase support services; review of submittals; construction support services; as-built plans; standard plans and standard specifications; and other miscellaneous engineering work.

Thirty engineering firms competed on the opportunity.
