This project was a task order issued from PacRim’s On-call Architect/Engineering Design Support Services contract with Orange County Public Works (OCPW). The Yorba Regional Park Shelter Canopies are widespread throughout the park. The canopies showed signs of deterioration due to corrosion on the metal decking and the steel overhand and purlin elements. The work for this task order involved removing, replacing, and restoring 35 metal umbrella shelters.
PacRim developed a repair/replacement of the existing structure relating to the canopy steel structure corrosion of the overhangs and metal decking. The scope included: a review of the in-situ structure’s compliance; a Schematic Design Submittal; the preparation of structural rehabilitation/replacement construction documents; detailed construction cost estimates; and bid support, responding to RFIs, submittals, and change orders, and preparing and submitting as-built drawings.
