Peter Liu, P.E., S.E., Principal, is an accomplished engineering executive with more than 30 years of experience in the field of civil engineering with expertise in structural engineering. He credits the firm’s success to its creative and innovative vision, professional talents, and the superior value delivered to clients by adhering to their proven operating principles. Prior to founding PacRim Engineering as a Principal, Mr. Liu served as the Vice President and Division Manager at Willdan Group Inc., a publicly traded, leading provider of outsourced civil engineering services to small and mid-sized public agencies in California and other western states. Additionally, he held senior positions at Parsons Transportation Group Inc., one of the largest engineering firms based in Pasadena, California, and at T. Y. Lin International, a well-known bridge designer based in San Francisco with signature bridges all over the world.
Mr. Liu’s international tenure included a technical post at the Chinese Ministry of Railway and several commissions in Asia and South America.
During his professional career, he has led cross-functional teams to execute multi-disciplinary projects in infrastructure, bridges, transportation, buildings, and architecture for a wide range of government clients and private customers.
Mr. Liu received his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley in 1990 and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, China in 1983.
He is a registered Civil Engineer in California and several other states. He is also a registered Structural Engineer in the State of California.
