PacRim Engineering, Inc. (PacRim), a provider of diverse civil and structural engineering consulting services, is pleased to announce management promotions as Mr. Gilbert Guevara, P.E. takes on the role of Principal and Co-president, Structures and Mr. Ray Wang. P.E. takes on the role of Principal and Co-president, Civil Engineering, starting in January 2026.

Gilbert joined PacRim in 2011, 15 years ago. Since then, he has grown and risen through the ranks at the company, gaining expertise in structural engineering and project management. He is known and respected in the industry for his creative problem-solving for clients, as well as for his leadership in the profession. Gibert earned his M.S., Structural Engineering from UC Berkeley and his B.S., Civil Engineering from UC San Diego, and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in CA and several other states.

With over 28 years of civil engineering experience, Ray joined PacRim in 2024 with the aim of fast-tracking his career to the top leadership of the Company. With his outstanding civil expertise in a broad range of engineering projects, he will lead our practice in civil engineering services, serving municipalities, state government, educational institutions, private developers, and the federal government, among others. He is known and respected in the industry for his quality of work and client satisfaction. Ray earned his M.S. in Transportation Engineering from the University of Toledo, and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) and LEED AP in CA and several other States.

Along with Gilbert and Ray’s promotions, the company forms an Executive Committee with Gilbert, Ray, and Mr. Patrick Liu, Associate Principal, to run the day-to-day business of the company. The Committee is to establish the strategic direction of PacRim and promote the organization’s core values through exercising its respective responsibilities in accordance with PacRim’s vision, mission, and strategy.
