PacRim Engineering is thrilled to officially introduce our new Senior Technical Manager, Elliot (Eui) Kim, PE, SE!
With 40 years of experience, Mr. Kim working on both structural and civil projects, which include subdivision, sewer and storm design, residential, apartment, and building structures. He designed the infrastructure and plant for the Los Angeles Sewer lines and the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant. He worked on plan checking of municipal buildings, retaining wall of the street, sewer infrastructure, and plant facilities. Additionally, he worked on the SOE and tunnel structure pertaining to the MTA Regional Corridor and Purple Line II. Impressively, he was involved in the bridge assessment for the City of LA and the bridge design for the LA River Revitalization project.
Mr. Kim was the First Lieutenant of the Air Force of ROK, as a Civil Engineer, for four years. He studied architectural engineering in South Korea, moved to ROK Air Force to design air base facilities, and went to Saudi Arabia. There, he performed work for the Ghazlan power plant project and the Riyadh Housing Project, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For ten years, he worked in the Structural Engineering Division of the Bureau of Engineering for the City of LA. There, he handled Metro Major Lines of Light Rail Transportation, building structures, street hardware, and underground structures.
