Air and Marine Operations Center Phase B Feasibility Study

As a Prime Consultant to Department of Homeland Security, PacRim led the Phase B feasibility study of the expansion of the Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC) at March Air Reserve Base.

The existing AMOC facility was originally constructed in 1988 to support 65 personnel. Currently, there are over 200 full-time personnel and is expected to reach over 400 personnel in the future, thus requiring additional space for operations.

The Phase B Feasibility Study examined different building alternatives and identified a preferred alternative and concept design for expansion and renovation of the existing AMOC facility to meet the evolving missions and operations conducted by OAM personnel operating at the AMOC.

The scope of work included existing conditions assessment including site civil, architectural, MEP and communication systems, structural evaluation, Phase I ESA study and utility study, conceptual design of site civil, architectural, structural, MEP, communication systems, cost estimating, and construction staging.

PacRim provided site civil and structural assessment and concept design recommendations, as well as project management and QA/QC of the overall project delivery.
