This project is located at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti, Africa. This installation is vital to the United States National Security due to its proximity to the Middle East, and it serves as the primary base of operations for U.S. Africa Command. The project addresses the base’s issues involving tidal erosion and Bird Air Strike Hazards (BASH) due to flooding near aircraft storage areas. As the Designer of Record, PacRim is currently preparing demolition plans, and grading plans to elevate the existing base access road above the High-High Tide elevation. The project also includes the design for a 1-mile storm drain force main that conveys reject water from the base Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Reverse Osmosis Plant (ROWPU) to the Gulf of Aden.
