The Honolulu Rail Transit Project looks to provide the planning, design, and construction for an 18.9-mile, automated fixed-guideway rail system with 19 stations between Kapolei and University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. The purpose of the Project is to provide faster, more reliable public transportation services to low income and an aging populations reside, and also serve rapidly developing areas. It will also be increasing transit capacity and improve transit links within the corridor.
PacRim is supporting the Parsons Transportation Group by providing independent analytical checks for the structural designs of four Honolulu Light Rail stations: Pearl Harbor Naval Base Station, Honolulu International Airport Station, Lagoon Drive Station, and Middle Street Transit Center Station. The performed analytical check consists of analyzing the entrance structure, train control and communications facilities, and vertical circulation leading to the guideway structure.
