North Airfield Stockpile Grading Plan at LAX

The North Airfield Stockpile Grading Plan at LAX required PacRim to provide a grading and erosion control plan for the placement of excess material from the Interim West Busing Terminal Project by Hatch MacDonald and their subcontractors. The plans showed a contour-graded stockpile mound in the contractor’s laydown area, including 4:1 side slopes, 10% and 5% ramps, and earthen swales for perimeter drainage. The grading plans were prepared at 40 scale over a topographic survey of the area. Erosion control plans were prepared, which identified the necessary facilities and devices needed to prevent erosion from the stockpile.
