PacRim has an established history with the Port of Long Beach (POLB) and has successfully worked in an on-call role for four years including work on Pier J, T, B, and Terminal Island Wye Realignment Projects & Pier B Pump Station Design (Standalone projects). These tasks and projects range from rail, site civil, drainage, utilities design, coordination, permitting, and structural designs. Our Task Order Managers successfully collaborated with other subconsultants, overseeing their work on tasks, administered Project Development Team Meetings, and delivered the final product to the POLB. We have demonstrated our technical capacity, teamwork, and the quality of service the POLB looks for in a firm. The PacRim Team continues to provide high-quality service in all disciplines to POLB, and this previous interaction is integral to serving a public agency such as the POLB, where teamwork is essential to progressing high-quality work for a client. PacRim understands the benefits of knowing our Clients’ culture, ethics, and goals, and we take pride in placing or Clients’ needs as a first order priority for work. For the POLB, PacRim understands coastal or waterside related services, technical challenges, and risk which may include high and low tides, shallow and fluctuating ground water, contaminated groundwater, unsuitable and hazardous soils, service interruptions, availability of construction time each day, berthing and leaving of vessels, limitation of berthing flexibility, waterside and landside staging areas and coordination with the Port’s tenants and railroads serving the port.
