San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) works with local governments to promote energy efficiency, demand response, and conservation programs, services and resources, and provide energy education and outreach to its communities. SDG&E’s Local Government Partnerships Program collaborates with a variety of local government entities to plan and execute energy efficiency initiatives across Southern California. Specifically, such initiatives are designed to yield results that demonstrate progress against a number of strategic goals.
PacRim’s role in the Program is to provide engineering & technical assistance. As the selected consultant, PacRim is responsible for providing engineering support and technical assistance to local government partners. PacRim’s duties also including supporting and assisting local government partners in the design, development, and implementation of energy efficiency projects and programs as well as the design of new programs and measures. PacRim will lead any feasibility studies and identify energy efficiency retrofit opportunities when possible.
